Tim Burton March Hare Costume Alice in Wonderland
If you want to be a surprise Halloween costume this year yet still keep current with the times, consider the March Hare costume from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland 2010 Disney remake of the same movie. The March Hare does not have a large role in the movie compared to the Mad Hatter, whose smug face is plastered on every Alice in Wonderland movie poster, but neither did the March Hare in the 1951 animated original. This Tim Burton March Hare, named Thackery Earwicket, is much more gangly and deranged and only mumbled psychotically in two scenes in the movie while pouring tea at the tea party and cooking in the White Queen’s kitchen. The March Hare costume is not hard to pull off, much like the White Rabbit’s in its simplicity. A blue and tattered and torn jacket over a light blue vest will do the trick easily. Add some rabbit ears and rabbit nose to complete the look, and try to arrange them according to this reference, one up and the other sideways in a more convincing manner. Try dirtying up the costume a bit too to match the March Hare costume.
