Tim Burton Mirana Costume White Queen

This shot of the movie footage from the Tim Burton 2010 remake of the Disney classic Alice in Wonderland is from the White Queen castle kitchen where the March Hare was preparing something for afternoon tea. The White Queen Mirana makes a special concoction for Alice to make her just the right size. Notice the Mirana costume is mostly white but with subtle Goth touches that are the trademark of Tim Burton’s style. Her eyebrows, eyes, and nails are all dark and black, and she wears a very dark shade of lipstick. Tim Burton could easily have adjusted her character in Alice in Wonderland to have eyes any color he wanted (see: the Mad Hatter costume enlarged lime green eyes) yet he chose to keep the actress who portrayed Mirana Anne Hathaway exactly as she was.
