Disney Original Tron Costume

To celebrate (early) the upcoming Tron Legacy film that will release in December 17, 2010, let’s go way back to the Disney original Tron movie that created this movie series phenomenon. The original Tron film was released in 1982, and believe it or not, Disney did this life action sci-fi movie right! The tag line should get you right away – electronic gladiators fighting inside a super computer while dressed up in super cool glowing blue suits, and sometimes riding cool electronic bikes known as light cycles! You’ll also see Jeff Bridges as the star in the original Tron, as Kevin Flynn or codename Clu. Need more inspiration for an original Tron costume? • Original 1982 Tron on Blu-ray in November

  () An updated, re-mastered edition of the original 1982 film 'Tron' has just been completed, overseen by creator Steven Lisberger. It will make its Blu-ray, high-def debut in November, about a month before the sequel, 'Tron Legacy' hits theatres.

  (*) Kevin Flynn is a former employee of the software corporation ENCOM, now running a arcade. Flynn has been trying to hack into ENCOMs mainframe computer to find evidence that ENCOMs senior executive Ed Dillinger stole four video games he created. But Dillingers supercomputer Master Control Program foils Flynns efforts and dictates and controls most of the computer systems. One night, Flynns former girlfriend Lora and her boyfriend, ace computer programmer Alan Bradley helps Flynn break into ENCOM to shut down the MCP with Alans security program TRON. But MCP uses Loras matter transmission program and converts Flynn into data and sends him into the computer. Flynn finds himself in a electronic world ruled by the MCP and his evil chief henchman Sark, where computer programs are the alter-egos of their creators and are forced to compete in gladiatorial games. With help from Tron, a heroic and fearless security program and his lover, Yori, Flynn sets out destroy the MCP and help Tron liberate the system from the MCPs control, by destroying the MCP is Flynns only way of returning to the real world.
